Bundled plugins

A theme can bring plugins along, for things colors and images can’t do: a custom Now Playing button, a new visualizer, a radio station. Put regular plugin folders inside the theme’s plugins/ folder:

midnight/
├── manifest.json
└── plugins/
└── radio_browser/
├── manifest.json
└── main.lua

Themes with plugins are marked Includes plugins in Settings.

The first time the theme is applied, Nari lists its plugins and warns that they can run any code. Once the user accepts:

  • the plugins are installed and turned on
  • applying another theme turns them off, and applying this one again turns them back on
  • removing the theme removes its plugins too

If a plugin with the same id was already installed on its own, Nari keeps that one and doesn’t touch it.
